Description
This project will update several technical overview papers covering the latest information for the next release of IBM Power Systems product offerings planned for 2022.. SMEs and the sales team rely on technical whitepapers to support the product launch. The strengths of the IBM System products lie in the overall balance of performance, features, price, and reliability. ITSO Redpapers reliably summarize the server's key technical information, combined with concise answers to technical questions and provide this to our customers, BPs, and IBM sales, marketing, and support professionals.
Benefits to Resident
Each resident will receive expert skills pertaining to the architecture, subsystems, firmware, and performance pertaining to the servers associated with this project. Each component and its function will be reviewed. Attending this residency will create lasting relationships with the development community that can be used as a bridge to pass customer feedback directly to the labs. Residents will be able to return back to their Geo in time to support the announcement. To stay competitive in the marketplace, customers must leverage the latest technology, and IBMers must be able to support it. This project is also a link to the future where experts can candidly discuss the latest development trends.
IBM Redbooks want technical practitioners to be recognized for their newly gained knowledge, experience, and accomplishments. Therefore, upon successful delivery of the publication produced by this IBM Redbooks residency, you will become eligible to earn an IBM Redbooks Digital Badge issued through Pearson Credly.
*Note* This is a remote residency. Residents will work from their home location and contribute remotely using agile tools such as slack and box.
(Residency dates updated)
Objectives
The objectives are to provide the most comprehensive and concise overview using all the resources provided to assist the product launch team, and to support the countries by providing early advanced technical support materials available for download from the Web. A draft version of this publication will become available at the end of the residency.
Resident Prerequisites
A basic requirement for all residents is the ability to read and clearly express concepts and procedures in common English.
In addition to authoring a Redbooks deliverable, participants will be expected to create at least one technical blog post and to appear in one video to complement the main deliverable. The blog posts can be done during the residency, or immediately after the residency ends and the participant has returned home. Participants will also be asked to help promote all deliverables created during the residency through social media.
