Experiment, validate and consolidate in an IBM Redbooks publication, best practices for Copy Services based migrations in a DS8000 environment. Recommend the preferred techniques to migrate between storage systems (DS8000 series), and also address data center migration. Make recommendations specific to GDPS clients. Review, recommend other tools and techniques such as TDMF, HyperSwap, etc. NOTE: This is a REMOTE residency. No travel is involved.

This project will be a good opportunity for the participants to share their experience on data migration, focusing on DS8000 Copy Services. IBM Redbooks want technical practitioners to be recognized for their newly gained knowledge, experience, and accomplishments. Therefore, upon successful delivery of the publication produced by this IBM Redbooks residency, you will become eligible to earn an IBM Redbooks Digital Badge issued through Credly.
A basic requirement for all residents is the ability to read and clearly express concepts and procedures in common English.
This residency will be made up of a team of individuals whose combined product skills and experience will cover the areas listed in the skills requirement section of this announcement. Candidates will be selected so that the combined skills of all the team members will provide the in-depth skills and experience necessary to produce this IBM Redbooks publication. It is not expected that candidates are experts all these products, but at a minimum they should have field experience with DS8000 Copy Services and features, particularly in a GDPS, mainframe environments.
