Benefits to Resident
This in an unique opportunity to work in Poughkeepsie, home of the IBM Technical Computing Clustering Solutions, and use the tools, utilities, documentation and other resources available to help the IT professional to learn how to manage and monitor the cluster configuration and its overall health based on problems reported by the users. Residents will work closely with the IBM Technical Computing focal points, the development teams, and get hands-on experience planning, scheduling, checking, testing, and documenting the health of the Cluster components using tools to manage the health of most common components to help the clients' leverage the architectural technologies and Technical Computing Solutions available from IBM. They will also participate in training and discussion sessions with the IBM High Performance Computing (HPC) technical focal points, the ITSO technical project leaders and the development teams, provide feedback, and author the IBM Cluster Health Check Redbooks publication. After this six-week experience (refer to the time table below), each resident will have skills and a broader knowledge on how to manage and monitor the IBM Cluster configuration and health via customizable checks, thus enabling them to help the client’s gain management, monitoring, and functionality of the Cluster to help the client maximize the utilization of their environment to solve challenging technical and business problems.
===>>>>> Please NOTE the following Time Table <<<<======
