What's new in V4R5 File Management

The traditional file management topic, formerly called data management, has been moved to the File Systems and Management topic in the Information Center, along with the integrated file systems management topic.

In addition, the following topics have been updated for V4R5:

• Using overrides in multithreaded jobs provides guidance on the types of overrides that are allowed in multithreaded jobs.
• Adding, replacing, and updating records (MBROPT parameter) has been updated with additional information.
• Converting universal coded character set (UCS-2) graphic fields, Converting System/370 floating point and null fields, and Conversion rules for copying files were removed from the book in a previous release, and have been replaced.
