Appendix B. Examples of DDS for Each File Type

This appendix provides examples of data description specifications (DDS) for each type of file discussed in this manual. If you choose you can use the examples in this section with appropriate high-level language programs. An example program, using some of the file examples and illustrating the use of externally described data, is also provided.
