Operations Navigator Database

Operations Navigator provides an easy to use graphical interface for many common AS/400 database operations, such as creating tables and views. Most database operations that you can access using Operations Navigator are based on Structured Query Language (SQL) functions. However, you do not have to be familiar with SQL to use them.

You can use Operations Navigator to quickly and easily design and manage a database by using only a mouse. Here are just a few highlights:

• When creating a new table, you can browse existing tables to find and use your favorite column definitions.
• You can create a joined view by using drag and drop.
• You can even directly edit your table data.
• You can use Operations Navigator to create, edit, run, and troubleshoot scripts for SQL statements.
