A: Using the proposal form ensures that you identify information that helps IBM Press determine the proposed book's uniqueness and market viability.

Q: How do I write a strong proposal?
A: You should thoroughly complete all sections of the proposal. It's important to include your proposed table of contents, as well as a writing sample (either from the proposed book or another work).

A: It typically takes six weeks from submission of your proposal to decision.

Q: How good do my writing skills have to be?
A: Although your book will be edited, you must have a strong aptitude for writing.
