Implementing Video in an IBM Content Navigator Application


This IBM Redbooks video covers the topics related to IBM enterprise content management (ECM) applications that will use the capabilities of Kaltura Video Navigator for ECM, IBM Content Navigator, IBM FileNet Content Manager, and IBM Case Manager. This video is not a comprehensive development guide for IBM ECM video applications but is a guide to help you implement your own solution, which might include some or all of the products in the portfolio. This video provides helpful real-world based advice for those involved in design, installation, and administration of systems that will use video in ECM applications.

Chapter 1

In this video, Thom Garcia addresses the business challenging of video management in an enterprise and its solution. Uri Gilad then gives an overview of the architecture of the Kaltura Video Navigator. Following Uri’s overview, is the presentation from Mike Winter about the video management solution architecture provided by IBM and Kaltura.

Chapter 2

In this video, Ian Story shows you how to build a new "application" in IBM Content Navigator through a desktop that is tailored, with Kaltura incorporated into that desktop. The video also shows how to use this tailored desktop.

Chapter 3

In this video, Uri Gilad talks about the preferable practice in implementing video with Kaltura Video Navigator for ECM including sizing, transcription, video format, video ingestion, and network considerations.
