Abstract

This IBM Redbook provides IT architects, specialists and developers with the knowledge to design, implement, and manage a WebSphere Commerce V5.4 runtime environment and store. The topics covered include:

- Introduction to WebSphere Commerce runtime architecture, store, and programming model.
- WebSphere Commerce runtime architecture design and implementation guidelines for security, scalability, performance and testing.
- Advanced multi-tier implementation scenarios for Windows, Solaris, AIX using DB2, IBM HTTP Server, iPlanet Web Server, and Oracle8i.
