Abstract
IBM’s focus on practical tools has brought enhancements to current DB2 UDB Server for OS/390 and z/OS ancillary products along with the introduction of new tools. From the set of over 20 DB2 Data Management Tools that are currently available, this IBM Redbook contains a detailed description of five: DB2 Archive Log Compression, DB2 Automation Tool, DB2 Change Accumulation, DB2 Log Analysis Tool, and DB2 Object Restore.
This book, in the format of a presentation guide, not only describes the functionality of the tools but also helps you determine in which areas the tools can be deployed by using real life scenarios.
The book is primarily a skills transfer vehicle that helps you understand the functionality provided by the five aforementioned tools, and is structured so that it can be used as a basis for preparing presentations as well.
