Developing Weblications with Sash 2.1

Redbooks logo

An IBM Redbooks publication

Abstract

Sash Weblications for Windows introduces a hybrid model that makes it possible to create native Windows applications with traditional Web technologies such as HTML, XML, and JavaScript. Sash gives developers the ability to overcome limitations of Web applications and exploit advantages that are available to native applications, such as access to most local resources made available by the operating system.
Sash provides a secure, modular architecture to create dynamic network applications that interact with Web services and other back-end systems.
Sash uses existing infrastructure to build, deploy, and update weblications throughout an organization.
This IBM Redbook covers the installation, development, and deployment of weblications. It is intended for Web developers with experience in HTML and JavaScript programming.
