Linux on IBM Netfinity Servers: A Collection of Papers
This IBM Redbook is a collection of three papers that describe the theory and practice behind three hot topics in today’s Linux environment:
1.) High availability clustering
2.) Systems and network management
3.) Interoperability
It describes how Linux can be used on IBM Netfinity hardware to implement solutions that were either not possible, or would have been much more expensive to implement on earlier platforms and operating systems.
Linux is not for everybody, but it offers many interesting possibilities. This collection of papers seeks to help you understand some of the Linux terminology and to explain what can and cannot be done to implement stable and reliable solutions using a combination of the Linux operating system and the IBM Netfinity hardware platform.
