DB2 UDB for OS/390 Version 6 Management Tools Package

This IBM Redbook describes how to install and use the new DB2 Management Tools Package. The DB2 Management Tools Package is a no-charge feature of DB2 for OS/390 Version 5 and Version 6 that delivers the DB2 UDB for OS/390 Control Center, and that can be used along with the existing DB2 client no-charge tools: DB2 Installer, Visual Explain, DB2 Estimator, and DB2 Stored Procedure Builder.

The book shows how the DB2 Management Tools Package feature, together with DB2 Connect, brings graphical ease of use to help you install or migrate your DB2 for OS/390, analyze access paths, estimate your DB2 application performance, manage your DB2 systems on UNIX, Windows, OS/2, and OS/390 platforms, and develop stored procedures.

This redbook also includes a section on the Workstation Online Monitor, function of DB2 PM, because of its interactions and integration with the DB2 Management Tools.
