Abstract

This IBM Redbooks publication focuses on developing applications using the Lotus Sametime 1.5 product. In the early part of the book we give an overview of what Lotus Sametime is and why it is such an effective real-time communication tool. The remainder of the book focuses on two main topics: How to integrate Lotus Sametime into Web applications and how to integrate Lotus Sametime into Lotus Domino applications. Throughout the book project we create and document real life examples for a fictitious company using the Sametime toolkit in both a browser and Lotus Domino environment. Within these chapters we cover application development with Java & Active/X for browser targeted audiences, and LotusScript/JavaScript for the integration with Lotus Notes and Domino.
