Abstract
This redbook explains how Java clients can use the Java support provided by VisualAge Generator to implement robust Web-enabled client/server systems that access enterprise server platforms and resources.
This redbook demonstrates an advanced technique for the implementation of a servlet system using the VisualAge for Java servlet builder and VisualAge Generator server programs implemented using VisualAge Generator Templates . The techniques used in this demonstration system will help you design, build, and implement the robust servlet systems required to support the business processing you wish to implement in a Web Browser client environment. Software configuration examples, working Java servlet client and VisualAge Generator server systems, and advanced design discussions are included.
After reading this redbook, you will fully understand how to use Java and VisualAge Generator to build and implement an IBM WebSphere Application Server-based application system that can be integrated with any of the enterprise server platforms supported by VisualAge Generator.
