Abstract

The IBM® System x® Private Cloud Offering provides solutions that are part of the Microsoft Fast Track for Hyper-V program. This program has requirements for systems management, virtualized management, and fault tolerance through the use of the System Center management platform, clustering, and redundancy in the network and storage.

This document provides setup and configuration details for the IBM 8-Node Hyper-V Fast Track configuration based on the IBM System x3755 M3 servers. Guidance and references are given throughout this document to aid understanding.

This document is intended for experienced IT engineers who have familiarity with Windows, Hyper-V, Microsoft Clustering, Networking, and iSCSI storage with IBM System Storage® N Series products. You should already have hands-on experience configuring these systems.
