Abstract

Taking a WebSphere® Process Server application involving long-lived processes from design to production requires consideration and planning for many aspects to be successful. Designing a process versioning scheme is one of those aspects. Without a well-planned process versioning scheme, you might be prevented from introducing new functionality into production, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) costs will be higher.

This paper discusses certain design and packaging considerations for implementing an efficient process versioning scheme that provides maximum flexibility in terms of changing functionality of an application already in production.
