    Abstract

This IBM® Redpaper publication is one in a series of service-oriented architecture (SOA) papers that feature a case study involving a fictitious company called JKHL Enterprises (JKHLE).

The focus of the case study in this paper is the retail industry sector and how organizations can use SOA to construct solutions that improve cycle time, process efficiency, customer satisfaction, and speed to market and that reduce costs. This paper focuses specifically on two aspects of the retail industry:

    -- Multi-channel retailing (online-to-store)
