Using the New Features in WebSphere Message Broker V6.1

WebSphere® Message Broker V6.1 was released in December of 2007.

This IBM® Redpaper publication discusses the new features and editions available with this release. It highlights several of the new features and provides information on how they can be used to enhance your messaging solutions.

Sunil Mathew George has a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree from R.E.C - Trichy (2000 batch). He has over 8+ years of experience in J2EE programming, with exposure to Telcom and Business Integration domains. He has experience in developing SCA based JCA 1.5 based adapters and is a developer of the WebSphere Adapter for Flat Files and WebSphere Adapter for Email adapters. He is presently a member of the WebSphere Adapter for SAP Software team. As part of the adapter team he has developed the Enterprise Metadata Discovery (EMD 1.0) specification compliant module for the Flat Files adapter and was involved in the prototyping work for the EMD 1.1 compliant adapters. Sunil is a Sun Certified Java 1.4 Programmer with special interest in the field of Business Integration and Service Component Architecture.

Rosaline Makar is a software engineer in IBM Egypt, Cairo Technology Development Center (C-TDC). She earned a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and an M.Sc. in Computer Science. Rosaline's areas of expertise include Web services, WebSphere Integration Developer, WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, WebSphere Message Broker, and WebSphere Service Registry and Repository.

Sambasivarao (Rao) Nanduri has been working as an IBM staff software Engineer in the L2 Support Team for WebSphere Message Broker since 2006 September. He received his Ph. D in Physical Sciences in 1994. He has several years of experience within and outside of IBM in UNIX (AIX and SOLARIS) Systems, IBM middleware products (WebSphere and Portal) and database (DB2) administration. He has co-authored several research articles and has a number of IT certifications.

Lara Payne is an IT Specialist who works with IBM Business Partners in Channel Technical Sales, United Kingdom and Ireland. She earned a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences and also went on to study for a Masters Degree in Computer Science at Birkbeck College, University of London. Lara works with Business Partners who specialize in WebSphere Business Process Management products as well as WebSphere MQ and WebSphere Message Broker.

Wolfgang Reismann is an IT Architect for WebSphere in IBM Software Group Vienna, Austria. As part of the technical presales team, he provides guidance to IBM clients and project teams on Application and Integration Middleware product capabilities and the business value of AIM. Wolfgang has worked with IBM for 19 years in numerous technical areas and in national and international customer middleware projects. He is a certified IT Architect and holds a Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences Vienna. His areas of expertise include project management, high availability and performance tuning, and middleware products such as WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker/ESB, and WebSphere Service Registry and Repository.

Carla Sadtler is a Consulting IT Specialist at the ITSO, Raleigh Center. She writes extensively about WebSphere and Patterns for e-business areas. Before joining the ITSO in 1985, Carla worked in the Raleigh branch office as a Program Support Representative, supporting MVS customers. She holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
