    Abstract

There are several ways to manage an Oracle® database running on Linux® on System z® . This paper describes how to use the agent that is shipped with the database. In our example we installed a database on SLES10.

The Oracle Grid Control Server does not run on Linux on System z. You can use a platform such as x86 Linux to run the Grid Control Server to manage the databases and applications running on Linux on System z.
