This Redpaper describes the application programming interfaces (APIs) used to interact with the WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation V5.1 Business Process Container. It also investigates how to use the Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) API to log, retrieve, and manage events from the Business Process Container. We wrote this Redpaper as a practical guide for developers who need to write code that uses these APIs. We provide practical code examples and implementation samples so that developers can understand how to code using the available APIs.
