Abstract
This document is a tutorial on how to configure Communications Manager/2
to support APPC applications.
It is meant for users who need to implement APPC applications, that rely
on CM/2 for their communications needs, and who need to quickly learn
the required notions of APPC and APPN that will allow them to better
understand the CM/2 configuration requirements for APPC.
The document is not targeted only at workstation communications
specialists; it has been written for any user who has some very basic
knowledge of communications but who needs a brief and basic tutorial on
APPC and APPN to better understand how to work with CM/2 in that
environment.
It is structured to introduce, one by one, all the necessary concepts
(and only those necessary) for the user to gain a basic understanding of
how APPC applications work and to illustrate these concepts with a few
practical configuration examples.
