Redbooks logo

An IBM Redbooks publication

Abstract

IBM Tivoli Intelligent ThinkDynamic Orchestrator and IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager automate the traditional manual provisioning process, performance measurement, capacity planning, and infrastructure deployment. IBM Tivoli Intelligent ThinkDynamic Orchestrator operates in a closed loop that performs automatic resource-requirements prediction based on predefined service level objectives and agreements, and automates infrastructure deployment. This just-in-time cycle ensures that each application has the resource it needs, when it needs it—without static overprovisioning.

This book is targeted at a diverse audience but is mainly geared toward the technical professional (consultants, IT architects, and IT specialists) responsible for providing quality services in an IT organization. It can be used as reference upon the deployment of IBM Tivoli Intelligent ThinkDynamic Orchestrator and IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager guiding throughout the planning, installation, configuration, general usage, and troubleshooting phases, with focus on effective deployment of these products in a way that quickly generates real business value for customers.
