Abstract
IBM LoadLeveler is a very effective tool for managing serial and parallel jobs over a cluster of servers. This IBM Redbooks publication describes the new tools and functions supported by LoadLeveler Version 3.1, such as new schedulers, checkpointing of jobs, AIX WorkLoad Manager integration, and so on, and includes example scenarios. Performance tuning of large clusters, and the use of external schedulers, are also featured in this book.
This book will help LoadLeveler administrators by providing a quick guide to installation procedures; we also discuss how to exploit various LoadLeveler features with sample scenarios.
