Abstract
This IBM Redbooks publication provides information about the OS/390 OpenEdition DCE Security
Server and its ability to interoperate with RACF; these two elements
constitute the OS/390 Security Server.
The book explains how to customize and use the DCE Security Server element on
the OS/390 platform. It provides information and guidelines on how to
develop DCE client/server applications and also provides a few simple
application code examples as well as instructions on how to run them. In
addition, it explains how DCE application servers can use the new RACF
services.
One chapter is dedicated to the RACF-DCE interoperation, with detailed
instructions and examples on how to set it up.
The last chapter addresses some DCE operations and debugging considerations.
This book will be of value to OS/390 DCE application developers, OS/390
system programmers, and system administrators.
