Colin Renouf is a Solutions and Infrastructure Architect, working for a large UK-based bank. With about 25 years in the IT industry, having formerly been an Aeronautical Engineer at an aircraft engines company, he specialized in Windows development and infrastructure. However, being familiar with AIX since its early days, and having a keen interest in Java and J2EE, Colin added WAS and AIX to his specialties. As an active member of the user communities, he runs some of the largest user groups in the world, notably for AIX and jointly for all things related to WebSphere. Colin has a BSc degree in Aeronautical Engineering, a BA in IT and Social Sciences, and has studied several other subjects at the degree level.
