Bert Dufrasne is an IBM Certified Consulting I/T Specialist and Project Leader for System Storage disk products at the International Technical Support Organization, San Jose Center. He has worked at IBM in various I/T areas. Bert has written many IBM Redbooks publications and has also developed and taught technical workshops. Before joining the ITSO, he worked for IBM Global Services as an Application Architect in retail, banking, telecommunications, and healthcare industries. He holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Faculty of Mons (Belgium).
Kerstin Blum is an accredited Senior Product Service Specialist at the ESCC (European Storage Competence Center) in Mainz, Germany. She joined IBM in 1999 and since then has worked as a Product Field Engineer (last level support) on various ESS generations and DS8000, and focuses on SSA, ISS, DDM, and MES. She was assigned for 18 months as the EMEA filed support interface with the ESS/DS8000 development and test teams in Tucson, AZ. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Communications Engineering, from the University of Applied Sciences of Wiesbaden (Germany).
Uwe Dubberke is an IBM Certified Specialist for High End Disk Solutions, working as a field specialist (RDS) in DASD and SAN products in Germany. He joined IBM in 1990 and supported different high end customers as an Account CE. He has also worked as an SE and, since 1999, he supports the EMEA Central Region Hardware Support Center in Mainz as a virtual member. He also has been a virtual member of the SAN Support Group in Mainz since 2005. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in communications engineering, from the University of Applied Sciences of Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
