Jon Tate is a Project Manager for IBM System Storage SAN Solutions at the International Technical Support Organization, San Jose Center. Before joining the ITSO in 1999, he worked in the IBM Technical Support Center, providing Level 2 support for IBM storage products. Jon has 24 years of experience in storage software and management, services, and support, and is both an IBM Certified IT Specialist and an IBM SAN Certified Specialist. He is also the UK Chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association.
Gareth Edwards is an IT Specialist for STG in IBM Australia specializing in Storage and POWER systems, and is certified on the IBM Midrange Storage Systems and Cisco Networking. He has 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has been with IBM since 2006. Gareth's current area of expertise includes the planning and implementation of midrange and enterprise servers, storage, and storage networks.
Carsten Larsen is a Senior IT Specialist working for the Maintenance and Service organization in IBM Denmark delivering consultancy services to IBM customers within the storage arena. Carsten joined IBM in 2007, leaving behind a job at HP where he worked with Storage Arrays and UNIX for 10 years, holding, among others, the HP certification: Master Certified Systems Engineer (MASE). While working for IBM, Carsten has obtained the Brocade certifications: Brocade Certified Fabric Professional (BCFP) and Brocade Certified SAN Designer (BCSD).
Dariusz Myszka is an IBM Certified IT Specialist working for the System Sales Implementation Services organization in IBM Poland. He joined IBM in 1998 and he has been working for 11 years delivering storage and server consultancy services to IBM customers. His areas of expertise include SAN design, disk storage and storage software implementation, IBM storage/server performance benchmarks, and IBM PowerHA high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Dariusz holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and is an Open Group Master Certified IT Specialist.
Chris Seiwert is an IT Specialist in IBM Germany. He has 10 years of experience in SAN design and disk storage, and about 17 years in Computer Science. He holds a degree in Computer Science, and his areas of expertise also include Data Migration, Java development, and HA Cluster solutions. Chris filed his first patent in 2005 for an IBM Data Migration tool. He has written about SAN and data migration in IBM internal and external publications, and has delivered presentations and workshops about these topics. He was a co-author for the Redbooks publication, Migrating to IBM System Storage DS8000, and has participated in other ITSO residencies.
