Posted by Olaf Menke on 24 April 2012 at 2:46 Hello, nice new look and feel. But I'm missing the information about the Blade Center chassis and the Flex Enterprise chassis in this document. The information about the Blade Center chassis was in in the former (older) uxref documents. It will be helpful to get this information back and to get the information of the Flex Enterprise chassis in addition in the document. |
Posted by David Watts on 25 April 2012 at 5:17 Good idea Olaf. We'll add those to the document as soon as we can. |
Posted by Mr. KAI KOERNER on 2 May 2012 at 1:44 Hi there, Speaking of chassis, I noticed that the iDataPlex chassis (M/T 7913 -> air cooled, and M/T 7918 -> water cooled) aren't listed nor is the water cooled dx360 M4 node (M/T 7918). Maybe you can add those to a later release of the document as well. Thanks |
Posted by David Watts on 3 May 2012 at 5:19 Yes we'll look at adding the iDataPlex chassis and the water-cooled dx360 M4 too. In the meantime, you can read about those in the latest draft of the iDataPlex redbook, http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/sg247629.html?Open |

Posted by David Watts on 7 June 2012 at 7:16 @Olaf, in case you hadn't noticed, I have added the BladeCenter and Flex System chassis. Next is the dx360 M4 2U chassis. Only the air cooled though - We only list systems with generally available models and the water cooled systems are configure-to-order only. |
Posted by Mr. Shawn Nickell on 31 August 2012 at 15:21 Looking for 7978-PPx |
Posted by David Watts on 1 September 2012 at 11:48 Hi Shawn, I can't find any information on this model, beyond that it is a System x3550 (based on the machine type). What is the "x" letter on your system's model? |
Posted by Mr. Shawn Nickell on 4 September 2012 at 11:12 7978-PPF |
Posted by David Watts on 5 September 2012 at 5:19 I found this: does it help? System x3550, 2 x Dual-Core Xeon 3 GHz/4 MB, FSB 1333 MHz, RAM 1 GB, HD 0GB, ServeRAID 8k-l, CD-RW |
Posted by Mr. Michael Funston on 19 September 2012 at 12:56 I noticed references on page 31 of the 10 Sep document to models of the x3530 M4 with a type of 7914-xxx. I think this may be a typo - Isn't the 7914-xxx indicative of an x3550 M4 server. |
Posted by David Watts on 20 September 2012 at 7:34 You're right Michael, those machine types should be 7160. I will fix that. Thanks for pointing it out. |
