Babette Haeusser is an IBM Certified IT Specialist at the International Technical Support Organization, San Jose Center. She writes extensively and teaches IBM classes worldwide on all areas of Enterprise and Open Systems Tape, Tape Libraries, Tape Encryption, and Tape Virtualization. Babette joined IBM in 1973 as an application programmer. In 1987, she became an MVS Systems Engineer and specialized in IBM Storage hardware and software, which she has supported in various job roles since then. Before joining the ITSO in early 2005, Babette worked in the Advanced Technical Sales Support EMEA. She led a team of specialists for Enterprise Storage. Babette focused on Enterprise Tape, including tape libraries and Virtual Tape Servers.
Luciano Cecchetti is an IBM Senior Accredited Product Service, working since 1985 in technical support roles in Rome, Italy. In 1988, he provided second level support for ES/9000 during an international assignment at the IBM European Product Support Group in Montpelier, France. As a specialist member of the RMSS SWAT Team, he supported and coordinated the first 3494 VTS/Library installations in Portugal and Greece. Since 2002, he has held a Specialist (CS) degree in High End Tape Solutions from the IBM Professional Certification Program. Since 2007, he has held a nomination for Senior membership of World-Wide Product Services Profession. His areas of expertise include CPUs, disks, and tapes in complex mainframe environments.
Rafael Garcia Lecuona is a Senior Accredited I/T Specialist in IBM Spain. Rafael joined IBM in 1984 in HW Customer Engineering in Spain. In 1987 he changed to the MVS Software Support Center and worked there for three years. He has more than 20 years of experience in Storage Solutions and implementing Tape, DASD, and Storage Software IBM solutions. He actively participated in the successful data center migration across the longest distance ever (20,000 km), between Santiago (Chile) and Madrid (Spain) using IBM DS8000 RC and IBM 3494 B20 PtP technology. He currently works in Service Delivery in the ITS organization.
Daniel Rincon Lopez is a Field Technical Sales Specialist in Mexico. He joined IBM in 1998 after finishing his electronic engineering studies. Daniel has a Master's degree in Business Administration and 10 years of experience in systems, with the last 8 years in storage. When he joined IBM, he did SW Support and Services for MVS for 2 years. From 1999 to 2003, he performed Storage Implementation Services, including ESS and 3494/VTS implementations. Since 2004, Daniel has worked as a Field Technical Sales Specialist with a primary focus on tape solutions, including VTS and TS7700. As a Regional Designated Specialist for tapes in Mexico, Daniel is in charge of the necessary training for technical sales specialists in Latin America.
