The scenario you are describing here is preshared key. You do not need any certificate to run a preshared key authentication. Best regards, Joerg Seitz |

She is a Consulting IT Specialist with IBM Advanced Technical Support at the Washington Systems Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland (USA). Octavio L Ferreira is a Senior IT Specialist in IBM Brazil. He has 28 years of experience in IBM software support. His areas of expertise include z/OS Communications Server, SNA and TCP/IP, and Communications Server in all platforms.
