IBM still experiences massive down town to install fixes, needs for DB2 reorganization, and even though claim "HA" for highly available, seem content to be available 82% of the time when factoring in down town for batch up and maintenance. HP Blade Servers, boasting 99.99999% available, at less than half the cost, and more than twice the MIPS, 16 CPUs per system, one terabyte of RAM, and, get this, unlimited disk size.
