I couldn't find what I thought would be the biggest benefit to using N-Series with digital surveillance footage, deduplication.

I would be interested in seeing some tests with A-SIS running on real surveillance data.

Bryan, how would you propose to use de-dupe in a dvs environment? The perception is that it provides no value due to the fact that most of what's stored are static images and video that is never de-duped. But I'm not an SE so please let me know if this perception is incorrect.

On the surface it seems llke de dupe would be a good fit, but if the streams of surveillance or clips of events are never duplicated I couln't see a fit personally
