Bertrand Dufrasne is an IBM Certified Consulting IT Specialist and Project Leader for IBM System Storage disk products at the International Technical Support Organization, San Jose Center. Andreas Baer is an IBM Certified Consulting IT Specialist with Advanced Technical Support (ATS) at the European Storage Competence Center (ESCC) in Mainz, Germany. He joined IBM in 1995 and has worked as a Product Field Engineer (PFE) on several disk subsystem products before joining ATS and specializing in high end disk solutions and open systems attachments. He coordinated the product introductions for several ESS generations and DS6000/DS8000 from an ATS perspective. Andreas also works with multiple Development and Program Management teams focusing on topics such as testing, interoperability, and special customer support requests. He holds a Master's Degree in Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
Peter Klee is an IT specialist at IBM Germany. He has 15 years of experience in open systems platforms, SAN networks, and high end storage systems in huge data centers. He worked for a large bank in Germany and was responsible for the architecture and the implementation of the disk storage environment there. This environment includes installations from various storage vendors, including EMC, HDS, and IBM. He joined IBM in 2003 and worked for Strategic Outsourcing. Since July 2004, he works for ATS System Storage Europe in Mainz. His main focus is Copy Services, disaster recovery, and storage architectures for DS8000 in the open systems environment.
Danijel Paulin is an IT Specialist at IBM Croatia, working for the Systems Architect team in the CEE region. He has 11 years of experience in IT. Before joining IBM Croatia in 2003, he worked for a financial company in Croatia and was responsible for IBM mainframe and storage administration. His areas of expertise include IBM high-end disk and tape storage subsystems and architecture and the design of various HA/DR/BC solutions for mainframe and open systems.
