Chuck Ballard is a Project Manager at the International Technical Support organization, in San Jose, California.He has over 35 years of experience, holding positions in the areas of Product Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, and Management. His expertise is in the areas of database, data management, data warehousing, business intelligence, and process reengineering. He has written extensively about these subjects, taught classes, and presented at conferences and seminars worldwide. Chuck has both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
Thuan Bui has worked at IBM for more than 25 years in development, quality assurance, customer support, performance, and management positions in database and data management technology. He currently works on the IBM Optim™ Solutions Technical Enablement team at Silicon Valley Lab, California.
Anson Kokkat is a Product Manager in the IBM Optim Database Tools Group. His professional career spans almost 15 years where he spent time working on application development technologies related to database servers. He has an extensive background working as a Product Manager for database tools. Anson has written many articles and white papers related to his expertise, and continues to work with sales, marketing, development and especially IBM customers.
Ellen Livengood is a Lead Information Developer at the IBM Silicon Valley Lab in San Jose, California. She has worked for over 10 years on various IBM DB2® database tooling products including IBM InfoSphere® Optim Performance Manager, Data Studio, and InfoSphere Data Architect.
Marcia Miskimen is a member of the Optim Integration QA team, where she focuses on usage-based testing of the Optim Data Studio portfolio of products, such as Optim Performance Manager, Optim Query Workload Tuner, Optim Data Studio, Optim Configuration Manager, and Optim Query Capture Replay. She has worked with Optim Performance Manager since version 1, and has co-authored six IBM Redbooks publications. Marcia has been with IBM for 23 years and has performed various development and test roles for both IBM Software Group and Global Services.
Lakshmi Palaniappan is a Senior Software Engineer at the IBM Silicon Valley Lab in San Jose, California. She is part of the development team for IBM InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager, and is the development focal point for the monitoring tooling in IBM PureSystems™. Lakshmi leads the Worldwide Level 3 IBM InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager Support team, which includes enablement support to customers in setting up their environments. She was previously Team Leader for IBM InfoSphere Replication Server configuration and monitoring tooling. Lakshmi has over15 years of industry experience.
Soid Quintero is a Software Engineer at IBM Silicon Valley Lab in San Jose, CA. She focuses on customer technical enablement for IBM InfoSphere Optim Database Tools. Soid has contributed to several IBM developerWorks® articles about Optim Database Tools. She recently graduated with a Master's degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics from San José State University.
Marichu Scanlon is an Optim Tools Enablement Specialist for IBM Optim Data Tools. In the past three years, she has worked with numerous customers, providing in-depth technical assessment, advice, education, and guidance on the Optim Data Tools product usage, installation, and migration. She has written several technical papers, IBM developerWorks and IBM Data Magazine articles, and co-wrote or contributed to several IBM Redbooks publications about IBM DB2 for z/OS® stored procedures, Data Studio, and Optim Performance Manager. Before joining the enablement team, Marichu was Team Leader in the Data Studio Continuing Engineering group and a member of the Data Studio development team. Prior to joining the Data Studio organization, she was a member of the DB2 for z/OS Function Test team.
Sheila Sholars is the Customer Advocacy Program Manager for the Database Management Solutions team focused on client success world-wide for the portfolio. With over 25 years of experience at IBM, she has held leadership positions ranging from software design and development, open source projects, field enablement and client initiatives. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles and holds several patents in database related technologies.
Krunal M Vora is an Intern at IBM, in San Jose, CA. He has had exposure to IBM DB2 tools development teams and IBM cloud products evolution. He contributes to IBM products as an intern, learning through the process. He holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from San Jose State University.
