Abstract

This IBM® Redbooks® publication describes an Integrated Border Management solution that is passenger-centric. It defines infrastructure solution building blocks, how to install them, how to integrate them with each other, and how to put them into operation. This system design can be used as a template to build other systems with similar requirements.

The target customers for Integrated Border Management include central government border management and immigration agencies, regional or local port authorities, border police and local law enforcement, national intelligence, agriculture, health, trade regulatory and central government customs agencies worldwide.

Each component of the solution is described in a separate chapter:

  • Portal Server
  • WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation
  • JRules
  • High Availability Clustered Multiprocessor
  • Partition Load Manager
  • Entity Analytic Server
  • WebSphere Application Server

The intent of this book is to provide a framework for building your own similar system, using some or all of the components and suggestions included herein.
